Updates to this website. Sometimes exciting!

Hello again, world!

I’m currently in the process of moving over my old posts from my old portfolio site over here, as well as fixing any bugs in the layout. All of this should be done by the weekend, so go enjoy life and come back in a few days!

Update (Aug 25): Currently trying to get Disqus comments to import properly. This is driving me nuts. If the site suddenly starts to look weird, or comments disappear, or things start to fail, it’s because I’m trying to fix the comments! T__T

Update (Aug 28): Comments should be working now! It’s possible that Disqus may have forgotten to change a stray comment permalink here and there; if there is, let me know, and I’ll try to get that fixed.

cloudscape; is officially open for business

Update (Aug 2013): This was posted on my previous blog, cloudscape;. superchlorine has pretty much the same goals as cloudscape;, only with a different name!

Cloudy with a chance of comics, code, and complicated conjectures.

With most layout quirks sorted out, I now officially declare cloudscape; open for business. Or blogging, rather.

During the days I worked on the design, graphics, and code for this blog, I constantly pondered what I should blog about here. A personal blog would not work well; I’ve realized that I just don’t have that many issues to present to the online community. Besides, who wants to read about what I did today, or who grated on my nerves?

In fact, sometimes it seems that no one wants to read anymore. I certainly have noticed my attention span for text decrease over the years as the availability of cheap bandwidth has increased.

Thus, my aim for cloudscape; is to use visuals (comics or graphs) to discuss topics whenever possible.

Now, it’s time to do what I promise, and break out those dusty half-full sketchbooks again.

Welcome to cloudscape;

Another beginning

Update (Aug 2013): This was posted on my previous blog, cloudscape;. All of it was moved over to superchlorine in the end, so technically, cloudscape; did survive! It just got renamed and redesigned along the way. :)

I’m no stranger to blogging, but somehow, my blogs have fallen wayside over the years for one reason or another. With the creation of cloudscape;, I decided it was a good time to start a new blog as well. How to make this one survive? Perhaps I’ll use it to document interesting things I find throughout the ‘Nets, instead of writing about random things in my life. My life is interesting, but not to the point where it captivates readers. Also, I’m hoping the fact that I can totally customize the layout of a Blogger blog will keep me posting. (Sorry WordPress; I love you, but I love design and pretty pixels more.)
